Kutno is a town in the region of Łódź, on the Ochnia river, a tributary of the Bzura river. It is the capital
of the Kutno county, part of the Łódź province since 1999. It had about 45,000 inhabitants in 2016.
 
Located N 52°14'- E 19°22', near the geographical centre of Poland, it is 52km (33 miles) north of Łódź
and 112 km (70 miles) west of Warsaw. Kutno county includes the nearby cities of Żychlin, Krośniewice,
Bedlno, Krzyżanów, Strzelce, Nowe Ostrowy, Oporów, Łanięta and Dąbrowice.
